Bear Valley Solar Initiative Program

When Bear Valley Electric Service (BVES) decided to offer solar electric rebates to residents in their San Bernardino County service territory in 2014, they turned to CSE to lead the effort based on our experience as administrators of the California Solar Initiative for San Diego Gas & Electric. CSE designed and implemented a program that began in January 2015 with the goal to add 800 kilowatts of new photovoltaic (PV) generation by 2022 and encourage solar and energy efficiency though workshops and other resources for homeowners.

Due to the popularity of the program, by April 2016 the BVES incentive budget was fully expended and 802 kW of solar generation capacity had been installed.
