James Tamerius, Ph.D., the director of data science at the Center for Sustainable Energy, brings more than 20 years of experience applying data science to climate, energy and societal challenges. He leads strategic initiatives across projects that require advanced data science methodologies, including using geospatial analysis to provide insights into expanding adoption of renewable energy and electrified transportation. James developed CSE’s Caret EV Infrastructure tool, which helps identify optimal locations for charging stations based on real-world data and program goals. James has published nearly 20 peer-reviewed articles on topics ranging from energy systems to climate and health.
