Center for Sustainable Energy has been named a partner by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) for its Innovation at SCALE program to advance solar deployment serving homes, businesses and communities nationally.
Partners in SCALE (Solar Community Assistance for Local Equity) use their expertise and experience to bring the benefits of distributed solar electric energy to a wide array of communities across the U.S.

Innovation at SCALE applies lessons learned through NREL’s Solar Energy Innovation Network (SEIN) collaborative research program to drive equitable solar adoption across the country. NREL and partner organizations offer technical consultation and analytical assistance to help communities overcome barriers to solar deployment at no cost to the recipients.
Innovation at SCALE is open to community-based organizations, local government entities, regulatory authorities and electric utilities.
Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE) is a national nonprofit that accelerates adoption of clean transportation and distributed energy resources through effective and equitable program design and administration. CSE is part of the administrative team for the largest solar equity program in the nation, California’s Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing (SOMAH) Program.
CSE’s expertise includes the data-driven design and administration of state and utility incentive programs for clean technologies including distributed energy resources (solar and battery storage), building electrification, electric vehicles (EV) and EV charging. CSE also provides program evaluation and analytics, community engagement, marketing and policy analysis services.
