The Better Business Bureau serving Pacific Southwest has named CSE as the winner of its Environmental Stewardship Program Award in the medium business category. CSE President Larry Goldenhersh accepted the award during a luncheon ceremony held Friday, December 7, at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla.
In announcing the award, BBB officials cited CSE for “their appreciation for how technologies scale together to create integrated solutions while reducing greenhouse gas emissions" and "CSE’s holistic view of sustainability.”
The BBB Environmental Stewardship Program honors businesses that take it a step further by increasing their efforts toward a more sustainable footprint. Winning companies must make a substantial commitment to sustainable energy and green initiatives in clean air and transportation, building energy performance and employee and community education.
The small business winner was Endemic Environmental Services of Huntington Beach, and in the large business category, Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve.
“Conducting business with awareness of environmental impact is not always easy, and these companies have demonstrated a commitment to environmental responsibility through various initiatives,” said Shelley Bradley, BBB director of programs and special events.
