Danielle Reyes brings experience in sustainable finance, community reinvestment, banking regulatory compliance, and corporate social responsibility.
SAN DIEGO (JULY 7, 2026) — Danielle Reyes, a partner at Holland & Knight whose legal practice spans financial and corporate sustainability law, has joined the Board of Directors of the Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE), a national nonprofit that accelerates the adoption of clean transportation and distributed energy through large-scale incentive programs.
At Holland & Knight, Reyes advises clients on regulatory and transactional matters, including sustainable finance, community reinvestment, banking regulatory compliance, and corporate social responsibility.
“I’m excited to join CSE at a moment when scaling clean energy solutions requires new ways of working across sectors,” Reyes said. “CSE is well-positioned to create a new model for pairing public incentives with private capital and to scale the solution to achieve national impact.”
CSE designs and administers over $4 billion in market-transformation incentive programs for solar, energy storage, energy efficiency, electric vehicles (EVs) and EV charging on behalf of states and utilities across the U.S. According to CSE President Lawrence Goldenhersh, recent changes to federal tax credits are creating new financing challenges for many clean energy infrastructure projects.
“As clean energy federal tax credits become less certain, many project owners can no longer rely on traditional tax-equity strategies to bridge the gap between project commencement and award payment,” Goldenhersh said. “The next frontier for grant and incentive programs is to make project financing faster, smarter and more scalable — including through automated, program-tailored debt offerings that use project fundamentals to safely address funding gaps with private capital.”
“Danielle Reyes brings deep financial services and sustainable finance expertise to an already top-notch board of industry experts,” Goldenhersh said. “Her experience will help guide CSE as we develop the innovative solutions the market needs.”
Reyes’ legal experience includes practicing at three global law firms and serving for nearly a decade as in-house counsel at USAA, a large financial institution. She currently serves as co-chair of the Corporate Sustainability Law Committee of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section.
In addition to her legal practice, Reyes has served as a faculty member in Columbia University's Master of Sustainability Management program and Bard College's MBA in Sustainability program. She is based in Austin, Texas.
