Senior Principal Advisor
Dr. Brett Williams is Senior Principal Advisor for Electric Vehicle (EV) Programs at the Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE).
He is a point person for EV market and policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and program design, strategy, and evaluation. Many of his activities are carried out in support of California’s $700 million Clean Vehicle Rebate Project, for which he directs transparency and evaluation efforts, as well as for related activities in four other states. Previously he was an Assistant Adjunct Professor of Public Policy at UCLA, a postdoctoral scholar at UC Berkeley, and a researcher for Amory Lovins at the Rocky Mountain Institute. Brett has a PhD in Transportation Technology & Policy from UC Davis, a master’s degree in Environment & Development from Cambridge University (UK), and an undergraduate degree in Physics / Public Policy Analysis from Pomona College (Claremont CA).
